I created these earrings in 1995 to match a necklace I had made. They are black opal beads surrounded by bead embroidery and with a "lace" edging technique which I developed. (Surely other have thought of it as well but I have only once encountered it elsewhere, and I have never seen it published. Still as we know nothing is "new" in the world of beads!)

These earrings are fun to make and wear. They are composed of strands of branched fringe, looped fringe, and small crystals or glass beads.

These earrings are
embroidered on
ultrasuede. The central stones are Malachite, surrounded with peyote
stitch. The hearts are Aventurine. The beads are size 14 seed beads,
opaque and silver lined. I used sterling silver findings. |
