Megan Noël's Black and Gold Evening Purse

I really enjoyed creating this purse. My client wanted a black and gold evening purse, and I had a gold German purse frame. This is a very unusual frame, it is not vintage but I do not think they are made any more and I have only ever seen 2 of them. I embroidered the purse using vintage and contemporary seed beads, glass beads, fresh water pearls, and sequins. The purse is embroidered on Black ultrasuede and has a 1.5" gussett. I beaded a portion of the top of the gussett on either side, and a line of gold beads down the center of the gussett all the way around. For the finishing touch, I embroidered my signature in the lining. Thanks for looking! Megan Noel, April 2000
